Jan Thompson, PA-C
Jan Thompson graduated from University of California Riverside with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1983, University of California Riverside with a Master of Science in Biochemistry in 1985, and University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology in 1994. She taught Microbial Physiology at University of Massachusetts in 1994. She did a Post-Doctorate Fellowship at University of Kentucky finishing in 1998. She taught the Laboratory Science Section of the Immunity and Infectious Disease Course at University of Kentucky Medical School from 2000 to 2006. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Kentucky in 2009 and became board certified as a Physician Assistant the same year. She is a member of the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Infectious Disease Society of America. She worked at Saint Joseph Hospital in conjunction with Lexington Infectious Disease Consultants, PSC from 2009 to 2015 and has been employed full time with Lexington Infectious Disease Consultants, PSC since 2015.
